Magazine research

I have done research on different college magazines to get better ideas and designs
I really like these magazine designs because they have very clear texts and pictures, nicely structured.
However i found the contents page a little bit boring with only pictures on the top and only texts at the bottom. Therefore, for my magazine, I arranged the texts and pictures more randomly.
